  • Caistor Arts & Heritage Centre 28 Plough Hill Market Rasen, England, LN7 6LZ United Kingdom (map)

Chairs, clocks & Caistor trades. Georgian Caistor was a significant centre, larger than Grimsby. See the evidence in the four market places, the former shops and pubs and the range of trades which existed in the town, particularly the well-known mineral water factory and the renowned chair making industry.

The Lincolnshire Wolds Outdoor Festival will take place from 20 May to 11 June and  is an ideal way to explore and appreciate all that the Wolds, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, has to offer. Designated as an AONB in 1973, this year we will be celebrating 50 years since the official recognition of this beautiful and cherished landscaped.

During the 3-week festival there will be over 150 events and activities taking place, across a multitude of locations, with many of the activities free of charge or at a reduced cost.

It is a fantastic opportunity to learn interesting skills, make new friends and find some inner peace. Discover some of the many activities that help make the Wolds such a wonderful place to be; from guided walks, fishing, water sports and horse riding to navigation, dancing, art, gliding and much, much more!

Caistor Arts & Heritage Centre will co-ordinate 10 walks during festival. See our calendar of events for more details of the Caistor & District walks or www.woldsoutdoorfestival.com for the complete programme. Advance booking is required for many of the activities, so we advise you to book early to avoid disappointment.
