Caistor Rocks

This week sees the launch of our latest Art Project - Caistor Rocks

Put simply a painted pebble exchange!

We have engaged with local artists, children and some of our volunteers to create art on pebbles that show “What Lincolnshire means to me…”

We have had some lovely examples of local landmarks, landscapes and produce, plus Nettleton Community Primary School have provided us with a collection of rainbow rocks for our wall.

If you would like to join in, this is a simple guide…

1. Paint Rock (pebbles available from centre)

2. Hide Rock (place in display book on the wall)

3. Find Rock (choose one from the display)

4. Post Rock (share on social media)

5. Spread Joy

We hope you will join us in creating art to share in the community or even better take a rock when visiting another town or village.

All we ask is when you create masterpieces to add #CaistorRocks to the back so we can track them as they move around!

Happy Painting!

In the meantime why not attend one of Alan’s Caistor Memories sessions, on the second Thursday of the month (see Events for more details)

Safety Measures from 19 July onwards…

A word about how we are continuing to keep you safe.

Dear friends

The long-awaited relaxation of restrictions is nearly upon us but the safety of our visitors and team continues to be top priority, so here at Caistor Arts & Heritage Centre we will be taking a cautious approach.  We want ALL our visitors to be able to visit free from worry so to help you feel safe we will be maintaining some precautions.

After Monday 19th July our staff & volunteers will continue to wear masks in public areas, we will maintain our enhanced hygiene measures and we will keep the numbers at the reduced levels to enable social distancing and provide a more enjoyable experience.  Although we are happy to say the rule of six is no more, if you wish to get together with a group of family or friends, we’d love to see you! *

If you are visiting Caistor Arts & Heritage Centre we kindly request that you wear a mask indoors** this includes the café, library & gallery (once seated at your table you are free to remove your mask).  Hand sanitiser will continue to be provides at all entrances and masks are available to buy in the Café if you have forgotten one.

The past year has been unlike anything any of us have experienced before, but what has made the challenges easier to bear has been the goodwill and support shown by everyone.  We will not be enforcing our policy around wearing masks but we ask you to continue to show consideration to others and as we navigate the next steps of this journey be mindful that while some people are making confident strides forwards other still feel the need for cautious small steps.

We look forward to welcoming you to Caistor Arts & Heritage Centre…

See you soon

The Caistor Arts & Heritage Team

* Up to groups of ten, if your group is 10 or more, please speak to us about a private event.

** Unless medically exempt
